Harry Potter and the Sorecer's Stone

Would you be willing to risk everything to save everyone? This book Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is about an eleven year old boy named Harry. He finds out that he is a wizard and gets taken to an amazing witch and wizardry school named Hogwarts. On the journey he meets some great friends, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger. As they set out as new best friends they find out some strange things that no student at Hogwarts is suppose to know. When they see someone lurking around the halls they get suspicious. When they think the secret object might be in danger, they will protect it. Read Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone to find out what happens next.
I thought that all the characters in the book were very interesting. There was Harry who was an eleven year old and yet still very brave and loyal. I loved how he was so young but he still saved many people. Then there was Ron, Harry's best friend. Ron was a very interesting character. He is funny and brave. At times I felt bad for him because he came from a big family and so he was always picked on for being poor and have so many hand-me-downs. But Ron lived with it and was happy with it. I thought that was one of the many times Ron was brave. Then there was Hermione. Hermione had very little friends at the beginning of the book. Ron and Harry didn't like her at first until she kept them out of trouble. Hermione is very smart and brave just like Ron and Harry. Brave seems to be one of the things they all have in common.
I also liked the author. Here are some facts. Her name is Joanne K. Rowling and she was born July 31, 1965 in Chipping Sudbury, England. Her favorite character to write about is Luna Lovegood and Hermione Granger and she is best known for the Harry Potter books, she has also written other books. I also liked her writing because she makes out the detail and makes it interesting too! She tells the exact color and texture of everything. She leaves nothing a mystery but the end of the book.
I loved this book and I would recommend it to everyone who hasn't read it yet! If you have read the first book and you liked it, I would recommend the next book in the series. Look for the second book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
